Measurements

	Hello wonderful people!
This semester I am taking an electrical engineering class that’s required for my major. It is very different from my usual chemical engineering studies, but it's also quite practical in a way that I feel I’ve not been exposed to much during my degree so far. It’s so fun to actually BUILD things!
As the start of a personal project for an extra credit assignment, I built the lovely little humidity sensor shown up above. It was very gratifying to learn how to make it.
Once upon a time, when I was still in high school, I briefly considered not going to college so that I could focus full-time on writing right away. You can tell what decision I ultimately made. While the choice to go to school (and my particular choice of studies) has caused me to make some sacrifices in my writing life, I am still very grateful for that decision. I would never have been able to appreciate life in the way I do now without my education. I don’t know that I would ever have felt that I had fulfilled my potential. And I would never have known how to make things like humidity sensors, which I think are super cool!
I’m grateful for a beautiful, complex world, and for the many moving pieces that make it what it is for all of us today. And I’m grateful that I have the chance to understand it a little better.

Best Wishes,
Ezra
